When I started working at Play-Place in the summer of 2022, I worked as both a Graphic and Web Designer. Something I noticed while answering phone calls there was the amount of questions about our facility, when we are open, what do we do, how much does it cost? The website should answer that, right?
Not all the time. The website itself wasn’t very user-friendly and information was often not easy to find, so I proposed a redesign of the front page to hopefully reduce the amount of questions we got from phone calls.
The most common question dealt with walk-ins and how much they cost, while that information exists in the footer. Most people failed to look there, so we needed to bring the information to the forefront of the page, and then list services accordingly to their popularity: Haircuts, Respite Care, Memberships, Birthday Parties, and then Field Trips.
